
In the combined team score, Union had 111 with King scoring 77. The Lady Tornado was 10 short, 52-42, while the Tornado lost 59-35.
Emily Vaughn (Johnson City, Tenn.) picked up first in the 50-yard freestyle. Vaughn touched the wall at the 26.54 mark. She later won the 200 backstroke thanks to a time of two minutes and 20.55 seconds.
Michele Donihe (Chattanooga, Tenn.) won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:30.86. Daniel Kidd (Abingdon, Va.) added the 1,000 freestyle on the men's side as he finished at the 11:55.40 mark.
Stephen Howard (Bristol, Tenn.) was the winner in the 200 backstroke by a half second. He covered the distance in 2:04.72.
King swept the 200 freestyle relay events over Union to end the meet.
The Tornado and Lady Tornado travel to the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championship on Feb. 19-20 in Marshall, W.Va.
